It's important to remember where you came from, so I've written a little bit about my home town of Sheldon, in Birmingham.
There are two shopping centres nearby – The Radleys and the Poolway. Neither are exactly Harvey Nicks, but you could get what you need.
I remember there used to be a record shop next to the large Co-op in the Poolway, when I was very young. Anyone remember that? Would have been in the late 1970s, early 1980s.
Also, graffiti'd on the wall outside the Poolway, in huge letters, was 'LED ZEPPELIN' – I didn't even know what a Led Zeppelin was at the time. Wish I'd took a photo of that when I had the chance. I believe the wall has been demolished now.
