Magical thinking

The modern world has placed science in a position separate from religion. Thus, science is often completely separated from religious ethical values. This article focuses on efforts to build a relationship between religion and science. The study begins by highlighting the principles of scientific and religious inquiry, the possibility of their meeting, and ends with a critical note on the shortcomings of each. Although science has its own scientific method, just as religion has its own method of uncovering meaning, the two should not negate each other's existence. Although science and religion have their own areas of jurisdiction, they can share them. Science and religion can be partners in interpreting the universe with their complementary methods. In a dialogical relationship between the two, religion can support all scientific activities, while science can improve religious understanding for the welfare of humanity. As Albert Einstein said: science without religion is paralyzed, religion without science is blind.

The relationship between the science of Islam and the other sciences is as shown in the chart. Everything else, which lies outside the three categories of knowledge above, means that it is not a science that we are allowed to practice. Examples of these are the science of invulnerability, divination, magic, the science of disappearance, the science of gaining inner strength by training oneself with stances such as pencak stances, etc., which are classified as supernatural sciences, and sciences such as those found in religious dogmas that are not derived from divine revelation. Allah forbids us to practice something for which there is no scientific support.

The first recognizes the existence of natural forces found in humans, animals, plants and objects. These supernatural forces of nature can cause, cause something. In this case man is passive, does not do anything, just accepts, feels only. The second thing a person can do, actively, is that he uses something supernatural energy with a specific purpose.
People do not surrender to the forces that exist, but instead they try to master them for their own benefit. The difference with us is, that their efforts were not carried out in a ragionil way. If they make an effort to catch an animal that they want to breed, then they try to get the animal to surrender itself to be caught.
The land that is planted is forced by the same means to become fertile. This same basis is also used in all his endeavors. And this basis and method are all irrational. So the primitive person controls the real nature by concentrating all the power, all the power on himself, because the nature is intended for his life, into the re

A believer is one who believes according to the guidance of the Quran. Faith cannot be separated from knowledge. In fact, faith is based on knowledge. Faith is nurtured by understanding the phenomena of the universe, and all knowledge actually comes from one source only, namely from Allah, the All-Knowing.
Humans strive to have just knowledge. What are the types of knowledge that mankind needs for the happiness of his life in this world and the next, and thus for the development of his faith?
Among mankind, the knowledge that can be reached or that God bestows upon mankind can be divided into three broad categories that are actually closely related to each other and support each other.
