The 'Welcome in Utopia' film was produced as part of the Migration and Home project which was funded by the AHRC through its Connected Communities programme for the Utopias Festival 2016. The TLANG project, funded through the AHRC's Translating Cultures theme. The Leeds-based TLANG project team worked in collaboration with Faceless Arts and local third sector organisations including the Refugee Education Training Advice Service (RETAS), Leeds on arts-based participatory activities including painting, composition and performance. We wanted to explore what it means to be 'welcome' in Utopia.
