The cow has jumped over the moon too many times to count, in more homes than it is possible to imagine. It will do so again tonight, over and again. The moon is everywhere, all the time in every culture and throughout human history. This is a story about objects in glass cases, the moon in the ni...

Welcome to my Yarn! For my introduction I would like to welcome you to my blog and more specifically how I'd like to start my journey to the creation of my five photographs for the module. For Themes in Contemporary Photography, my initial interest lies with how young adults in today's society port...
My final photography project focusing on the expression of drag artists, especially the contrast between the extroverted performing appearance to introverted and private environments, such as the home.
For our photography walk project, I chose to follow the brief to create a series of portraits, where the subjects themselves chose how they'd like to be photographed. In our first lecture on Themes in Contemporary Photography, I was taken with the idea of 'sharing' and how this related to photography, and how the two have changed and evolved together. In the past, the photograph was a physical object that was passed around the hands of grandparents, aunts and unc...
Capturing a moment and manipulating the viewer's perception of it, could involve physically or digitally altering an image.
On October 4th 2015, approximately 80,000 people from all corners of the country descended on Manchester to tell the government exactly what they thought of them....and it wasn't positive.
Walking along the sea banks, about to catch our ferry to the beautiful island of Symi. Along the way I noticed a magnificent statue, an Angel. This is where I took my favourite picture.
We have built our world to be square, largely for the sake of practicality. Buildings are constructed to fill square plots, and have square rooms with square walls to arrange our mostly square furniture within. In this story, I intend to explore examples of those daring enough to build outside the...
This story will follow my changing thoughts and ideas as I embark on a new photography project that aims to explore photography in a contemporary framework.
New York City in thirty years time. Ravaged by the Change, making it an inhospitable environment. People must wear protective clothing before venturing outdoors to shield themselves from the harsh rays of the sun. They retreat -- gathering at subterranean bars, restaurants and even parks, to escape...
